This innovative man from Pondicherrie (the old French colony on the east coast of India) was making beautiful jewellery from coconut shells..I was very impressed and bought some earrings...My daughter Serena has now placed an order with her Aunty Venita to bring her the anchor ear-rings and the anchor pendant when she visits in May of this year..
A musician of sorts, and a very clever one too...the Sarangi is a one stringed instrument which is impossible for anyone to try and bring a decent sound out of....I mean what can you possible do with one string. Yet these guys will produce melodious sounds, hook you on it and sell you the instrument which will sit on a shelf collecting dust, because believe me there is no way on earth you can ever replicate what he does......so there...been there done that!!!
